Dear Community Member: Tonight, we welcome the holiest month of the year: Ramadan.

We pray that Allah SWT allows and blesses us to make the most of the holy month and to see it through in its entirety.

We pray that Allah SWT grants victory and deliverance to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Sudan and throughout the world.

Staying In The Know

Aim to Donate

• The SW Masjid is aiming to raise 800K this Ramadan:
  • 500K for Operating Costs
  • 300K for Renovation / Capital Improvement Costs

     

• Donations can be made via e-transfer (cicsw@outlook.com) or online.
  • Cheques and Cash are accepted at the Masjid.

 

Coming To The Masjid For Taraweeh

 

When coming to the masjid for Isha/Taraweeh PLEASE keep the following in mind:

• Come EARLY to help ease congestion on the roads and avoid the last minute rush.
• Please CARPOOL to reduce the number of cars.
• If you are capable and willing PLEASE utilize the Sirocco Transit Park and Ride Parking Lot.
  • Only a FIVE minute WALK from the Masjid (helps burn off the one too many samosas you had for Iftar).
  • No 30 minute wait in the parking lot when you want to leave.

     

• DO NOT PARK in the following locations:
  • Wentworth manor (Senior’s home next door to the masjid)
  • Neighboring Condominium Complexes
  • In front of driveways and fire hydrants.
  • Sunterra / West Market Square Shopping Center (you will get a ticket and NO the masjid is not responsible for paying the ticket).
  • Avoid street parking if possible.

     

• If you see someone parking inappropriately / illegally, please SAFELY and CALMLY remind them to NOT be a nuisance to OUR NEIGHBORS.

   

Masjid Rules

• NO FOOD. There will be NO communal iftars this Ramadan.
• Bring your own water bottle.
• Ensure your kids are NEXT TO you at all times.
• Minimize conversations during and after Taraweeh so as to avoid bothering other people praying as well as the neighbors.
